    Sonlight CHristian Mission

    Sonlight Christian Mission began in 1999. Today it serves the same purpose that it was founded on of leading individuals to and teaching them about Jesus Christ, educating Haiti's children and offering health clinics in Gonaives.  We believe in Prayer (Matthew 18:20), Support (Matthew 5:14-15),Support (1 Samuel 3:8) and Influence (Matthew 5:16).

    Family Resource Center

    The Family Resource Center isn't just a place—it's a promise with essential needs addressed:

    • Resourceful Support: From our clothing room filled with quality garments, a food room stocked with essential staples, to providing tents for those experiencing homelessness, we ensure nobody lacks basic necessities.

    • Empowerment and Self-reliance:

      • Journey to Employment: With computers dedicated for job searches, our partnership with Career Source offers guidance for job coaching and resume crafting.

      • Bike to Work: We support sustainable transportation by providing bicycles free of charge.

      • Document Assistance: Recognizing the importance of identification, we assist out Connections Outreach members in obtaining vital documents like IDs and Birth Certificates.

      Well-being and Personal Growth:

      • Health at the Forefront: Our medical clinic operates weekly for the uninsured, addressing basic medical needs to ensure everyone has access to medical care.

      • Dignity and Care: With free showering and laundry facilities, monthly haircuts, and case management in collaboration with local nonprofits, we champion the dignity, health, and progress of every individual.
