Welcome to First Christian Church of Inverness! We're so glad you're here!

If you are looking for a church home, we invite you here at First Christian Church of Inverness! Preaching and teaching from the Bible, sweet loving fellowship at a place where everyone is welcomed. We'll share in the Lord's Supper every week to remember what our loving Savior did for us and we will focus on prayer! Hope to see you around the table.

MESSAGE FROM PASTOR TOM THOMAS

Are you excited? I am excited for what God is going to do next! He has blessed us beyond measure! Personally as well as collectively with this family of faith. I am still amazed at His goodness and kindness he has shown is on a continual basis.

Now we begin a new era for First Christian Church of Inverness without a mortgage weighing over our heads. With this blessing, this is not the time to quit. We must renew our zeal to continue to seek out the lost and bring them to Jesus. We should be less distracted and more focused on the task at hand.

What are your plans for the rest of the year? We have already blown through January and over halfway through February. What are your plans for the immediate future? What are your plans for the distant future? Are you praying for anyone specific to come to know Jesus as Savior? Do you have plans to encourage this to happen? Are you praying for the church collectively that we may take to heart the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20? Are you praying for the leadership of this church to be in agreement with God’s plans? Are you praying that they may have His wisdom?

Are you praying for yourself and others that we will make every effort to be at peace with each other? Colossians 2:2 has always been the verse I focused on in my ministry: “My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely Christ.” It continues to be my goal for 2025 and First Christian Church of Inverness! I love you all dearly and am thankful that the Lord led Lisa and me to this family. Looking forward to our future!

What We Believe at First Christian Church of Inverness

God the Father, Jesus the Son, Holy Spirit are three in One The Godhead

"No one comes to the Father except through me(Jesus)" John 14:6

Jesus Said, "If you love Me, you will obey what I command." John 14:15

Jesus taught that we must

  • Believe (John 3:16; Mark 16:16)
  • Repent (Matthew 4:17; Luke 13:3)
  • Confess (Matthew 10:32, 33; Romans 10:9-10)
  • Be Baptized (Matthew 28;18-20; Mark 16:16; Peter 1 3:18-22; Galatians 3:26, 27; Acts 22:16) for the remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).

The Scripture is the infallible Word of God and "God inspired and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work". 2 Timothy 3:16, 17

Our goal is to become like the First Christians in the book of Acts and teach the Apostles Doctrines, Break Bread (Communion), fellowship and Prayer Acts 2:42

We support missions worldwide, statewide and locally in fulfilling the Great Commission in (Matthew 28:18-20) in going to the whole world with the Gospel.

We encourage our members to "Be holy as our Father in heaven is holy" (Peter 1:14-16).

Holy set apart for God's purposes.
